Say Something
In 4 out of 5 school shootings, at least one other person had knowledge of the attacker’s plan but failed to report it. People who hurt themselves or others often show warning signs before they carry out an act of violence. #SaySomethingWeek #SaySomethingSavesLives #NCPSchools

Good evening Jaguar Cubs Families. This is Mrs. Gorham, Principal of Fairview Elementary. Beginning tomorrow and running through Thursday, our 2nd graders will be taking the CogAT state assessment. We will begin preparing for testing at 8am, so please have your students on time to avoid makeup testing sessions. February is Kindness and Love Month. We are asking students and staff to wear pink shirts on Wednesday, February 28th to support more love and kindness. This is part of an anti-bullying initiative. February is also Black History Month. This year, we are partnering with DS Johnson to celebrate the legacy and culture of HBCUs. Our program will be held on Thursday, February 29, at 6pm on the campus of DS Johnson Elementary. Our students have work hard to prepare and will represent the HBCUs in a variety of ways. Please have your students on campus by 5:30 prepared to participate. We are inviting all moms, grandmoms, aunts and big sisters to join us for IMoms on Friday, March 1 at 7am at DS Johnson for a little breakfast, a little bonding, and a lot of fun! Come gather with your children and other positive female role models to discuss topics and encourage each other. We look forward to seeing all of the students tomorrow as we continue to make this the greatest show ever. Have a great evening.

Good morning. This week we will start a SchoolStore program to help our school raise money. An envelope explaining how the program works will be sent home with your student. Parents, it is important that you read over the information describing how you can participate and help your student earn a participation prize. Your student will earn the participation prize only when the envelope is returned with the needed information, and they can earn even more great prizes when your family and friends help our school raise money. So don't forget to send the filled-out envelope back to school, and thanks for your support. Have a great day.
